About us
Machines for nature — engineered and built in Ashausen.
mera Rabeler stands for machines and conversions for forestry, waterways and rough terrain — developed and manufactured at our site in Ashausen.
What began in 1991 as a specialist for PistenBully conversions has grown into a versatile partner for professionals across Europe: from mowing and mulching technology to the mera universal Track and complete special vehicle construction.
Our engineering department uses modern CAD, PDM and FEM systems and can simulate complete prototypes. Certified welders and a welding engineer process high-strength fine-grain steels, corrosion-resistant steels and aluminium using modern pulse arc welding equipment. Trained staff in mobile hydraulics, electronics and engine technology ensure quality at the highest level.
We are of course also available on site with our service vans.

The full story
How it all began
In 1991, Rolf-Peter Meyer ('me') and Jürgen Rabeler ('ra') founded the company mera oHG. A trade fair for construction and off-road vehicles gave them the idea of modifying a Kässbohrer PistenBully for use in difficult bog terrain — a development originally for their own needs that quickly attracted the attention of other companies.
From mera oHG to mera Rabeler
At the end of 1999, Rolf-Peter Meyer left the company. It was renamed 'mera Rabeler e.K.' and Jürgen Rabeler continued as sole owner. In the years that followed, new products and special solutions emerged alongside the PistenBully conversions — in particular land-clearing and soil mills as well as in-house forestry mulchers.
mera Rabeler GmbH & Co. KG
On 1 January 2017, mera Rabeler e.K. became the current mera Rabeler GmbH & Co. KG. Christian Wentzien joined as co-partner and has since run the business together with Jürgen Rabeler.
Expertise in PistenBully conversion
Today mera Rabeler is regarded in the industry as the specialist for converting PistenBullys for use in difficult terrain. More than 350 special conversions have been completed since 1991.
